The Peter Principle

Today, we want to discuss "The Peter Principle," a study that states, "You rise to the level of your competence." In other words, people get promoted to do a higher-level job based on their ability to do a "lower level" job. And what the research showed was that 80% of the people that were promoted failed at the next level.

Now, the 20% that were successful were people who were continual learners. They continually grew themselves and raised their lid. Which, then, begs the question: how can we be part of the 20%? What can you do to continue to learn, grow, and raise your lid so you don't become a statistic - but rather, a viable and vital part of your organization?
