Not A One Day Event
Transitions in leadership are NOT a one-day event. At least they shouldn't be. They can't be. It's almost impossible for the business, organization, or team to survive a one-day leadership transition.
So...that begs the question: What are you, as a leader, doing to "replace" yourself when it's all said and done? Are you growing and grooming the next level of leaders? Are you making daily deposits in people? Are you allowing people to see "behind the curtain" and see your daily decisions - the good, the bad, and the ugly?
