My Ego

I've been given a lot of advice from my mentors over the years. I like to think of myself as a life-long learner, and when these people, these mentors speak - I listen. And one of those conversations was about my ego.

He was kind and non-confrontational, but it was an honest conversation about times when my ego was getting a bit too big or instances where I needed to check my ego at the door. He had this conversation with me because he wanted me to be the best version of myself.

I believe everyone has some level of ego - we all fall on the scale of having an ego and it fluctuates over time. But the truth is that egos get us into trouble - in our business, in our families, relationships, etc.

This doesn't mean you have to be a human doormat for people to walk all over - but you also don't have to win every conversation or argument either. What does humility look like for you?
