Having A Lunchpail Mentality
Today, I think we have lost our "lunchpail mentality." Think about it. Thirty years ago, more people went to work with a lunchpail—and they worked. They were GSD people. Fast-forward to today, more people have (what I would call) "email jobs". Now - let me be clear - there is a time and place for email. It's part of our culture and society, and it is a necessary convenience. We use email daily - multiple times a day.
But I think as we've transitioned from lunchpails to emails - there are a lot of people who are trying to lead people and guide conversations without having boots on the ground. Our challenge for you is to move out from behind the desk and computer screen, put some boots on the ground, and connect with your people. Face-to-face. Get in the trenches, get your hands dirty. That's where true change and true motivation come from.
GO GSD (get shit done)! You've got this.
