Control Freaks

Transitioning in leadership - in your teams, in business, an organization - are going to happen. And it's VITAL that we talk about "what happens next?"

With that in mind, how does a control freak replace themselves? Because control freaks don't want to let go of things to allow others to step forward. Maybe you are a control freak, maybe not. Regardless of which side of the fence you fall - what are you doing to raise your lid and help the next level/generation of leaders replace you?

Part of it is fear. We can all identify with that on one level or another. Maybe it's ego. Maybe you, simply, haven't looked that far into the future. Whatever the reason, here are some things to consider and, potentially, begin to put into place that will help that transition - whenever it is - go smoothly.
